Hi, my name is Ville, nice to meet you! I’m a photographer originally from Santa Claus’s country Finland but based nowadays in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. I specialise in photographing weddings and interiors.
I was born and raised in Finland and found my passion for sports which culminated in becoming the Finnish Champion in cross-country skiing. A true reward after lots of training hours, dedication and hard work. Doing the sport offered me a great basis for good well-being and physical condition – but it also taught me a good working ethic, I learned to be independent, and also being humble. After reaching some 20 years old, however, I decided to move away from professional athletics towards academia instead - completing a Master of Economic Sciences at the University of Tampere shortly thereafter. Despite having chosen another path since then, sports are still ever present in my day-to-day life: enjoying exploring the Amersfoort area with a bike or starting every morning with yoga will always be important for me.
When I spent a year as an exchange student studying Spanish in Spain, something stirred inside me - the desire to travel and explore. Little did I know it would be the spark that ignited my passion for photography! My wanderlust and interest in taking stunning pictures has since taken me around half of Europe, across Western America and South America, plus some Asian countries too.
And what are my top 3 favourite places that I have visited?
Hiking at majestic Torres del Paine national park at rugged, windy Patagonia, in Southern Chile.
Exploring Tanzania on our honeymoon, we witnessed the incredible capture of a gnu by a lion, observed majestic elephants bathed in the mesmerizing golden light, and immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture by visiting bomas.

Soon, people noticed my passion for photography and asked me to be their wedding photographer. With some healthy nerves I started my first wedding photoshoot and soon, I discovered how beautiful it is to capture those beautiful emotions that can only be seen on a wedding day. A day that is full of joy, happiness and tears - powerful memories that reflect all the love and emotion of the wedding. Nowadays I shoot many weddings a year and I can say that each and every wedding is still bringing me lots of good vibes and happiness.
Next to weddings, I’m passionate about interior design. I love to wander around in interior stores and do inspiration for my home. With an eye for interior design, I knew that my photography skills would be perfect for interior photography. Taking a picture of furniture and decorations may seem simple, but it can still be surprisingly challenging! Capturing all those little details - finding that perfect angle or getting just the right lighting for capturing your furniture setup - requires finesse and an eye for detail. My excitement continues as I explore this field with each project!
How did I end up from Finland, to Spain, in the Netherlands? Love of course!
My journey to the Netherlands began when I met a Dutch yoga teacher in Sri Lanka. One year later she hosted a yoga retreat in Portugal which I spontaneously joined. And right at that yoga retreat I met Margot from the Netherlands. It seemed love at first sight as soon after the yoga retreat, we headed to Paris for our first date; and about one year later I moved to the Netherlands where we are currently living happily with our cat Nala. In 2022, we journeyed to northern Finland, where beneath the dancing northern lights, I asked her to marry me. And one year later, we united our destinies in the enchanting surroundings of a typical Spanish finca in Mallorca - a wedding day that we will remember forever.
