A Beautiful June Wedding at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal

Some weddings are simply magical, and the celebration of I&T at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal in June was no exception. Located in Driebergen-Rijsenburg, perfectly nestled between Amersfoort and Utrecht, Buitenplaats Sparrendaal provided the ideal setting for their big day. The day was full of love, laughter, and those tiny moments that make weddings unforgettable. As their wedding photographer, it was an honor to capture each detail, from the excitement of getting ready to the final sparkler send-off. Here's a glimpse into their beautiful day.

Starting the Day with Coffee and Preparation Shots

The morning began calmly, with a few cups of coffee as I&T arrived at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal, brimming with anticipation for what was to come. Once the caffeine kicked in, it was time to dive into the preparation shots.

Since the ladies usually need a little more time for their glam session, I started with the groom. In the cozy lounge room of Buitenplaats Sparrendaal, the groom prepared for the day with the help of his brother. It’s always special to include loved ones in these moments—it adds so much meaning to the photographs. The groom chose a grey-beige suit from Tom Broekman in Utrecht, which perfectly suited this young gentleman.

Once the groom was all set, I made my way upstairs to the Heeren Kamer, where the bride was already glowing, thanks to the talented hair&make up artist from Feel Good Visagie. Her stunning white dress, from Wedding Wonderland, awaited its moment to shine. With her loved ones surrounding her, the bride added the final touches and prepared to meet her soon-to-be husband.

The First Look on the Bridge

When the stars of the day were ready, we moved outside for their first look. The small bridge next to Buitenplaats Sparrendaal provided a perfect, intimate setting for this special moment.

As the groom turned to see his bride, emotions overflowed—smiles, tears, and pure joy filled the air. It’s moments like this that remind me why I love wedding photography. The groom presented his bride with a breathtaking bouquet designed by De Stijl Floral Design. The vibrant colors and delicate arrangement were the perfect match for the day.

Photoshoot Fun at the Park

After the emotional first look, we dove into the photoshoot. The serene park at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal and nearby Park de Wildbaan offered endless opportunities for stunning photos.

I captured the couple against the elegant backdrop of Buitenplaats Sparrendaal, alongside the small pond, and among the lush greenery of the park. The light was perfect, the couple looked radiant, and we had so much fun creating a variety of shots that reflected their personalities and love.

The Ceremony in the Gouden Kamer

Before the ceremony, while the bride took a quiet breather, the groom eased his excitement by playing video games with his brother—a great way to keep nerves in check!

As the guests gathered in the Gouden Kamer, the anticipation grew. Finally, it was time for the couple to make their grand entrance.

The groom entered first, accompanied by his mother, followed by the bride, who walked in with her mother. The Gouden Kamer was filled with warmth and love as family and friends watched the couple exchange vows and rings.

The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, full of laughter, a few tears, and a lot of joy. When the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the room erupted in applause, sealing the start of their new chapter together.

Reception: Cava, Cakes, and Congratulations

After the ceremony, everyone headed downstairs for the reception. The room buzzed with excitement as the couple was showered with congratulations. Glasses of cava were raised in toasts to their happiness.

One of the sweetest details was the dessert table, featuring an array of cakes lovingly made by a close friend of the couple. It was a thoughtful and delicious gift that added a personal touch to the reception.

Group Photos and Late Afternoon Shots

Once the guests had mingled and enjoyed their treats, it was time for group photos. I made use of the beautiful light to capture some more stunning shots of I&T together. Buitenplaats Sparrendaal provided the perfect backdrop, and the light glow added that extra magic to the pictures.

Dinner at the Raadzaal

As we moved into the evening, the staff at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal had prepared the Raadzaal for a memorable dinner. The elegant setting was perfect for this intimate part of the day.

Dinner started with delicious appetizers, including smoked salmon, carpaccio, and Caprese salad. The main course featured guinea fowl with polenta and zucchini, followed by a delightful dessert of tartelette with vanilla and forest fruits.

Throughout dinner, heartfelt speeches and fun activities organized by the couple’s family and friends made the evening even more special. It was a wonderful mix of laughter, sentiment, and celebration.

Evening Celebration and First Dance

As the evening unfolded, more guests arrived, ready to join the party. The night kicked off with the traditional first dance, with the newlyweds surrounded by their loved ones.

The DJ from The DJ Company ensured the dance floor stayed full all night, creating an unforgettable vibe for everyone. The evening came to a magical close with a sparkler send-off. Guests lined up with sparklers in hand, forming a glowing path as the couple made their exit in their wedding car—a perfect end to a perfect day.

A Thank You

I&T, thank you for letting me be part of your beautiful wedding at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal. It was an honor to capture your special day and all the love and joy that filled the air.
